Chen Weihua is a Chinese journalist, currently serving as EU bureau chief of China Daily. China Daily is an English-language newspaper owned by the Chinese Communist Party. In 1987, Chen started working as a journalist for China Daily. In his writing, he mostly discusses American politics and ties with China.

In 2005, Chen worked as the Shanghai Star’s deputy editor-in-chief and the China Daily’s deputy Shanghai bureau chief while a journalism fellow at Stanford University.
